Janet Stewart Felts receives award

Janet Stewart Felts, the daughter of Harold and Jo Ann Stewart of Jack, was recently recognized as an SPRF (Southern Public Relations Federation) Senior Practitioner. The SPRF designation honors public relations professionals recognized by peers as veteran practitioners with high ethical standards. The award recognizes long-term professional service, significant service to SPRF or a member state association, professional achievement through peer-reviewed awards and/or national professional accreditation by the Universal Accreditation Board. Felts serves on the Board of Directors for the North Alabama Chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama.
Felts is a graduate of Zion Chapel High School, Enterprise State Junior College (now Enterprise-Ozark Community College) and Auburn University. She graduated with high honors with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. She resides in Madison, Ala., with her husband Jerry and 9-year-old daughter, Taylor. She is a Marketing Officer for Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville, the largest credit union in the state, and most recently was Communications Manager for SirsiDynix Corporation, a global library software company.
