Thursday, Sep 03,2009

Coffee County Commissioner Bernest Brooks has been honored by the Association of County Commissions of Alabama for 16 years of service to county government and the state of Alabama.
“Commissioner Brooks deserves the thanks of all Alabamians for his dedication to public service and his personal sacrifice,” said ACCA President Joe Faulk. “Considering the extraordinary challenges county commissioners face every day, particularly in these trying financial times, Commissioner Brooks has continually served his constituency with honor and pride, and he deserves a pat on the back from everyone in his county!”
The Tenure in Office Award is presented annually by the ACCA to honor commissioners who have served at least 16 years in office. The award is given to commemorate the 16th, 20th, 24th, etc. year in office.
