Local artwork on display at Elba Public Library
The Elba Public Library currently is displaying the artwork of several local art students in the foyer of the library.
The displayed art is from local residents that take classes taught by artist Linda Rawls. She teaches two classes each week in Elba – Monday mornings and Thursday evenings – at the Elba Recreation Center, located on Claxton Avenue.
Rawls said she teaches all kinds of art in her classes. She said the students mostly work with oils for their paintings, but they dabble in other types of artwork as well.
The artwork display will be available for viewing at the Elba Public Library for about a month. For additional information regarding the classes taught by Rawls, she said inquiries could be made with the library staff.

Smith and the other local artists are students of Linda Rawls, who teaches an art class Monday mornings and Thursday evenings at the Recreation Center in Elba.
