James Coley

Mr. James Coley Faulkner, age 73, of Elba, Ala., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at his son’s home in Newton, Ga. He was born October 8, 1938 to Henry Boyd Faulkner and Cordia Mae Rackley. JC as his friends and family called him was a dairy farmer most of his life. He retired 10 years ago and settled in Elba, Alabama. Funeral services will be held from Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Charles Dyess officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinson Cemetery, Troy, Ala., with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation was at Hayes Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 8, from 5-7 p.m. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife: Mittie Margaret Page Faulkner, Newton, Ga.; sons: Toney Faulkner (wife Julie), Lafayette, Ind., David Faulkner (wife Christina), Newton, Ga.; daughter: Elizabeth Faulkner (Jason), Elba; nine grandchildren; three sisters: Lena Holmes, Columbus Ga., Tiny Vincent, Box Springs, Ga., Mary Egler, Leesburg, Ga.; and one brother: Jerry Faulkner, Columbus Ga.
