Sammy Hullander

Samuel "Sammy" Thomas Hullander age 57 of Elba, Ala died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at his residence. Sammy was a Mason and a Shriner and was a member of the Blue Lodge in El Paso, Texas. He was active in the lodge and performed as a clown during the annual circus. He served his country in the United States Army during the Gulf War where he recieved a Bronze Star along with two Meritorious Commendations. He retired after twenty-one dedicated years of service. Mr. Hullander is survived by his wife - Deborah Diane Hullander of Elba; son - Nicholas Hullander of El Paso, TX; daughter-Tuesday Hullander, El Paso, TX; two step sons - Robert C. Platt, of Miramar, FL and Paul Platt of Las Cruces, NM. He is also survived by his mother- Shirlie Hullander of Vanburen, AR along with three sisters Sharon, Sherry, and Samantha. In accordance with his wishes no formal services were held. Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Hullander family.
