Masonic Lodge event in Monroe County

Alabama Lodge No. 3 in Monroe County celebrated the 200th anniversary of its establishment recently during a special day of events at the Masonic Hall at Perdue Hill. As part of the celebration, the lodge conducted the first Master Mason degree in over 100 years in the Perdue Hill lodge building, and Elba native Matthew Neil Henderson was the candidate for that degree. Pictured from left at the event are Matthew Henderson’s father, Neil Henderson, Past Master of Elba Lodge No. 170; Van Tidwell, Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Alabama Grand Lodge; Matthew Neil Henderson; Shelby Morrow, Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden of the Alabama Grand Lodge; and Elba native Eric Cox, Worshipful Master of Alabama Lodge No. 3.
