Music legend and Coffee County native Paul Hornsby will be hosting a book signing at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7th at the Elba Public Library. Hornsby was born on a farm near Elba and attended school in New Brockton. He got his first guitar as a young child, learned to play it and has never looked back.

He was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 2010.

His book is entitled ‘Fix It In The Mix’. The title of the book comes from a term heard often in recording studios when some portion of a recorded song just sound just right.

Hornsby traces his musical career from that first instrument through his experiences performing with a number of other musicians, some good and some better than good. He doesn’t dodge the hard times nor gloat over the good times, he just records his life’s trail.  He now owns and operates Muscadine Recording Studio in Macon, Georgia.
