The Elba Tiger golf team competed in an 8-team tournament recently at the Brewton Country Club and brought home one of its biggest wins in years as the Tigers won the event by 11 strokes. The Tigers fired a 318 team total, led by John Martin Wilson with a 73, Collin Sauls with a 79, Peyton McCart with an 82 and Carson Wise with an 84. Paxton Wise fired an 18-hole score of 87, but his round was not needed as his Tiger teammates all posted some of their best scores of the season. Charles Henderson placed second in the tournament with a 329, while Brantley ‘A’ placed third with a 339. Scores for Brantley included Tucker Kilcrease 81, Luke Kilcrease 84, Bo Cook 87, John Bush 87, and Ethan Weed 92. Other teams competing in the tournament included T.R. Miller, Pleasant Home, Brantley ‘B’, W.S. Neal and Opp.
