Statistics from GAMECHANGER
The Elba Tigers had another busy week on the baseball field and posted one area win, while dropping two decisions as the season began to draw to a close.
Following is a recap of last week’s action:
Wicksburg 16 Elba 0
The Elba Tigers managed only one hit in a 16-0 loss to Wicksburg. Ty Sieving had the lone hit for the Tigers, while Cameron Gray, Brady Johnson and Brayden Johnson combined to pitch five innings and allowed 10 earned runs on 13 hits and six walks.
Pleasant Home 2 Elba 1
The Elba Tigers dropped a 2-1 area pitching duel to Pleasant Home. JT Coleman and Kaleb Mitchell both had 2 hits to lead Elba at the plate, while Easton McKelvy added 1 hit and scored 1 run and Cameron Gray added 1 hit. Collin Arnold and Cameron Gray combined to pitch six innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and six walks, while striking out 12.
Elba 5 Pleasant Home 2
The Elba Tigers rallied from a 2-1 fourth inning deficit to claim an exciting 5-2 area win over Pleasant Home. Cameron Gray had 2 hits, scored 2 runs and had 1 rbi to lead Elba at the plate, while Ty Sieving added 2 hits and 3 rbi’s; JT Coleman added 2 hits and scored 1 run; and, Easton McKelvy added 1 hit and scored 2 runs. Ty Sieving pitched a complete game four-hitter and allowed one earned run, while striking out 10.
